Planning and preparations are well underway for the 2026 Greek Festival.  This will be our 48th Festival and we are once again calling on each of Cathedral members to participate in the many activities associated with making the Festival a success.  There is a tremendous amount of work required to make the festival a success.

MOUSSAKA

We will be preparing MOUSSAKA beginning at 10:00 AM on Thursday, April 30th for meat and eggplant preparation and then continuing Friday and Saturday, May 1st and May 2nd – approximately 144 pans each day.  This is a labor-intensive event.

Kitchen cooking on Friday and Saturday begins at 8:00 AM and pan assembly begins at 9:00 AM on Friday and Saturday.  We need help in cooking meat, preparing bechamel, preparing eggplant, frying eggplant, etc.  Lunch will be provided on both days, and a good turnout will speed up our process.

All cooking activities begin at 7:30 am for kitchen support volunteers and 9 am for product assembly volunteers, except as noted.  Lunch will be provided each day.  Please try to make yourselves available to help your Festival Committee members wherever and whenever you can.  YOUR SUPPORT IS NEEDED AND MUCH APPRECIATED!!

There are many other activities that take place to support the Festival.  We have trucks to order, booths to clean and set up, freezers to clean out, tents to order, equipment to set-up, and grills to clean.  Please volunteer and offer your time and talents to this vital, annual Cathedral event.  Please come and help when you can.
